I would like to thank each one that makes the blood drives possible throughout the year. First of all, I thank Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for opening their doors to us and making us feel so welcome. I thank the canteen ladies Ada Bentley, Susan Harrison, Carol Stevenson, Sylvia Carter, and Dot Hawes for serving the refreshments and making the appointments. Ada Bentley also calls the churches to tell them the date and time of the blood drive so they can put it in their bulletin. Brian Cassedy comes all the way from Lodge the night before to put the signs on the street and back after the blood drive is over to collect them. Once during the year, Brian was unable to put the signs out, so Glenn and Mitzi Carter put them out. Also, Glenn and Mitzi’s Sunday School Class, the Mack Jones Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church took up a donation to help buy new signs to put on the street. Sharon Paris puts the posters out in business windows. I thank each one of you for all your time and work without pay. Most of all I thank my faithful donors. I am honored to know each one of you that comes out in all kind of weather and probably have to wait to give blood, but you keep coming back anyway. I look forward to seeing you all again in 2020.
