BREAKING NEWS: CCHS sub caught on camera: Sexually-explicit behavior leads to arrest

Nicole Perritte

A substitute teacher at Colleton County High School has been arrested after being caught on video engaging in sexually-explicit dances and conversations with students.

Nicole Perritte, 37, of Walterboro, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was arrested February 24, and has already been released from the county detention center on a $10,000 PR bond.

According to a Colleton County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Perritte was caught on several different instances allowing students inside CCHS classrooms to “run wild.” She was also caught dancing sexually with a student and was writing sexually-explicit sentences with male students on the classrooms’ dry-erase board.

All of this behavior occurred during class hours when she was an acting substitute teacher.

The incidents occurred in 2012, and were captured on a students’ cell phone. The CCSO was made aware of the video and the incidents on January 30 of this year, after an administrator at the school reported the incidents to law enforcement.

The CCSO immediately began an investigation. At the time law enforcement was notified of the allegations, Perritte was still working as a sub teacher within the district.

This investigation is ongoing. The Colletonian will continue investigating the claims, and will speak with district officials.
