Book Signing by Father Jeffrey Kendall January 16

Jeffrey Kendall’s insights into the debate over an SCE&G proposed landfill for toxic coal ash are keen and penetrating. As a leader of the opposition who was given privileged access to SCE&G operations by officers of the company, he has a complete and comprehensive understanding of what actually happened in Colleton County, South Carolina. Combined with his philosophical training as a Catholic priest, which gives him the tools to evaluate the land use principles by which the Board of Zoning Appeals made its decision, Jeffrey Kendall has written the definitive work on this debate that is so critical to society.

“New Heavens, New Earth” moves beyond the immediate debate over a coal ash landfill to make a persuasive argument for a change in South Carolina laws, which do not favor solar energy. He is an unwavering advocate for the use of solar energy in South Carolina and in all places where there is an abundance of sun.

The book signing will be Thursday, January 16, at Saint Anthony (925 South Jefferies Blvd.), at 6 p.m. Invited speakers will be Hamilton Davis of Coastal Conservation League, Bill Hiott and Citizens for Colleton County, along with Father Kendall.
