Walterboro Dialysis is launching a community education initiative

On Thursday, September 27, 2012 Walterboro Dialysis will launch a new community education initiative.  The program is “FREE” and open to the public.  Just call by Wednesday, September 26 at noon to let us know who is coming.  The first group meets at 4 p.m. on September 27th.

Our goal is to empower community members with the knowledge they will need to understand kidney disease.  This will allow them to make better choices if and when needed.

We will explore and talk about kidney health, high blood pressure, diabetes and their connection to End Stage Renal Disease and Chronic Kidney Disease.  We will talk about these things for people in early and late stage renal failure.  We will talk about care partners and their role as well and much more.


Our approach is to look positively at living with and learning about the choices available to anyone dealing with kidney disease in any of its stages.   An example of what the course will entail follows:
