Walterboro Christian Center spreads Christmas joy

Walterboro Christian Center held a gift giveaway on Friday, December 22. There were loads of gifts for all ages. There were approximately 270 people present for the event. “This is the third year for this event and it was the biggest the center has ever had,” said Pastor Ja Don Buckner. The children enjoyed games and food before the gifts were handed out. Each child and adult received a ticket at the door for one gift and was allowed to choose the gift of their choice.
Walterboro Christian Center has been in ministry for 27 years and continues to grow. Every Friday at 7:00 p.m. the center is open for kids and adults to come play games and socialize in a safe Christian environment. There are chaperons throughout the center to help children with whatever they may need.
“It was an extraordinary night and the response from everyone was well received,” said Buckner. The center plans for next year to be even bigger. The next special event will be a back to school giveaway. The date and time for this will be announced at a later date.
