USC Men’s ranked 20th in NJCAA

The USC Salkehatchie Indians Men’s Basketball team has been taking care of business on the courts. This past week the Indians had two big wins.
Last Wednesday, the Indians came out on their court, ready to face Spartanburg Methodist. The Indians did not waste any time defeating them, 85-63. Vince Cole and Keyon Wesley led the Indians with 16 points each while Mardrez McBride added 15, Kevin Williamson added 14, and Ahmad had 12. This moved the Indians 17-4 overall for the season.
The Indians did not stop their momentum as they were on the road to face Caldwell Tech on Saturday. The Indians delivered Caldwell Tech their first loss of the season, 97-94. Vince Cole led all scorers with 34 points, including a three-pointer with three seconds remaining in the game to secure the win for the Indians. This win moved the Indians to 18-4 overall and 20th in the latest NJCAA National Poll. Also, they hold sole possession of the first place in Region 10 Standings with six regions 10 games remaining.
The Indians traveled to Bolivia, NC, on Wednesday to face Brunswick CC, but as of the press deadline, we had not received results. USC Salkehatchie Indians Men’s Head Basketball Coach Jake Williams said, “We have a huge home game Saturday at 4 pm against Cape Fear. The game will also be a “Black Out” themed game, so be sure to wear black.” Go Indians!
