Position: Assistant Principal
Number of Years Educating: 12 years

For the past 12 years Assitant Principal Tiffany Pearson has been an educator in Colleton County School District. Pearson graduated from College of Charleston with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and went on to get her Master’s Degree in Educational Adminstratrion from Grand Cannon University. For 10 years, Pearson taught sixth through eigth grade in subjects English and Social Studies. Pearson then became a Cirriculum Coach for two years and is currently working on her first year as the Assitant Principal of Instruction at Colleton County Middle School. As for Pearson, her favorite part of the years she has spent teaching in the classrooms were, “Getting to directly impact students everyday and that’s what I miss most about not being a teacher now.” Pearson’s position as an adminstrator now allows her a new role in the education system which she still finds to be rewarding, “The thing I like most about what I am doing now is being in a position to hopefully make teachers lives easier so that they can be better teachers for their students,” Pearson said. Pearson’s husband is also a teacher at Colleton County High School, and her three children all go to schools in Colleton County, which is important to Pearson as an educator in the community where she lives. “It is important for me to invest in the educational system that my own children are going to be going through,” Pearson said, “That is why my husband and I have stayed in Colleton County and have stayed committed to education here.”
