On Thursday, October 25, students celebrated with their teacher, Pastor Wayne Lucas and local volunteers after completing a four hour Bible class.

Thirty one sixth-grade students from Colleton County Middle School received a Bible, completed work papers in a folder, and a certificate of completion during the celebration. Parents also attended the event and were very pleased with the program, which is offered through Colleton County School Time Education (CCSTBE). Students and parents were offered a pizza lunch while celebrating with CCSTBE.

Colleton County School Time Bible Education offers Bible classes to all middle school students who have parental permission. Students are transported from Colleton County Middle School to the Colleton County Recreation Center during an activity period and then returned to the school. Sixth-grade students receive four classes while seventh and eighth-grade students receive nine classes.

The four hour class begins with the creation and ends with the resurrection of Jesus The nine hour class begins with the creation and ends with the return of Jesus. The seventh and eighth-grade classes are still in progress and will end on November 13.

The same classes will be offered in the spring of 2013. This is the first year the classes are offered for both semesters. Invitations and permission forms will be mailed to parents in the beginning of 2013. If you have any question about enrollment or volunteering you may contact Elaine Saxon at 843-276-4478 or email ccstbe@yahoo.com.
