Paul and Dalton to host Paws at the Plantation II

paws 3Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter (FoCCAS) and Paul & Dalton Plantation will host Paws at the Plantation II on March 2 from 5–9 p.m. This second annual event will again be held at the private Paul & Dalton Plantation along the Combahee River.

The proceeds from this year’s event will support a community spay/neuter program and the continuation of the puppy transport to Maine. President Laura Clark calls these two programs essential to the goals of FoCCAS. Clark noted, “The first annual Paws at the Plantation event was a great success. We are thankful that Paul & Dalton will once again be opened to the public for such a worthy cause. We hope all our Colleton County friends and neighbors will come out for a wonderful time!”

Paws at the Plantation II will serve Jimmy Fitts’ barbecue and chicken, dessert by the Old Bank Christmas, Gifts, and Bakery, and beer and wine. The sun will set over the beautiful grounds of the plantation and the Combahee River just after 6:15 and dinner will be served at 6:30. Music will be provided by Bells Highway and adance floor will be available.

Great silent auction items such as gift certificates to Husk and Lana’s, a weekend get-a-way in Charleston, rounds of golf at Dogwood Hills, original artwork by local artists, beautiful framed photographs, an autographed Wade Boggs baseball, tickets to the NJCAA basketball tournament and much more are offered.

Tickets are $50 and must be purchased by Monday, February 25. No tickets will be sold at the door. To purchase tickets online, visit www.foccas-sc.org or call Sarah at 843 635-5206.
