Miss Cougar 2020 to be crowned Thursday

The 2020 Miss Cougar Pageant will be held, Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 6:00 pm in the Colleton County High School Performing Arts Center. The Miss Cougar Pageant is a fundraiser sponsored by the Colleton County High School Chorus and is to benefit The Kermit Trevor Hudson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Any Colleton County School District students from K4- 12th grade were able to enter the contest if they met the requirements, where they had to be free of disciplinary referrals and carry at least a 3.0 GPA.
The Pageant is split into two Divisions. Division, I will be contestants from K4- 8th grade. Contestants in Division I could win Wee Miss Cougar, Tiny Miss Cougar, Junior Miss Cougar, Jr. Miss Sweetheart Cougar based on their age. These contestants can also win in six categories which are: Most Photogenic, Best Casual Wear, Best Formal Wear, Best Eyes, Best Hair, and Best Smile. Division II will be all 9th – 12th-grade students. These girls will be seeking to win in the following categories: Miss Freshman Cougar, Miss Sophomore Cougar, Miss Junior Cougar, Miss Senior Cougar, Miss Sweetheart Cougar, Miss Cougar- Overall Title, Most Photogenic, Best Fun Fashion, Best Formal Wear, Best Eyes, Best Hair, Best Smile, Highest GPA, Miss Entrepreneur, Miss Congeniality and Teacher’s Choice Award.
The Miss Cougar Pageants are fundraisers sponsored by the CCHS Chorus to benefit The Kermit Trevor Hudson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Two scholarships will be given to local Colleton County School District students. Miss Cougar ($600.00) and Miss Senior ($400.00) will receive monetary awards. Tickets are $10 at the door the night of the event and will include a program.
