Memorial Brick Ceremony held at Downtown Waterfall

A ceremony was held at 9 a.m. Friday for the commencement of a program that will place commemorative bricks with the names of Colleton County’s  Armed Services Veterans in the Downtown Waterfall Plaza on East Washington Street.

“Bricks have been purchased in memory or honor Veterans who have given their all for their country, a Colleton County Veterans Council release handed out at the ceremony stated. “Please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices our military men and women and their families have endured to secure and maintain our freedom. Each brick at the Downtown Walterboro Waterfall has been engraved to remind us that we love, honor, and respect our Veterans. To those who purchased a brick, thank you.”
