Lowcountry birdsDuring the month of April, the Lowcountry Nature Photography of Chris Kirk will be on exhibit at the Colleton Museum & Farmers Market. The opening reception, which is free and open to the public, is on Tuesday, April 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the Museum. Settings, sites, and general information on how to get a better wildlife or nature photograph will be discussed.

Chris Kirk is a self-employed CPA living on St. Helena Island in Beaufort County. Chris utilizes the other side of his brain by incorporating his hobby of photography, his avid passion for the Lowcountry, and his value of the local ecology to produce Lowcountry landscape and wildlife photos.

Chris’ ecology-oriented Lowcountry photographs have been featured in many local, regional and national publications over the past few years. He has been invited to show his work in a number of juried and curated art shows in the Lowcountry. Chris received the prestigious “Best In Show” in 2011 in the photography category at the Beaufort City Art Show.
