Lady Warhawks Volleyball Falter

With a shortened week because of Hurricane Irma, the Colleton Prep Warhawks volleyball team had to take the court against John Paul II on Thursday, September 14. In a back and forth first set, John Paul II took the set 25-23. The Warhawks would fight back winning a close second set 26-24. The second set would prove to be the last for the Warhawks as John Paul won the next two sets 25-19 and 25-17 handing CPA their first loss on the young season. “John Paul II weren’t really better than us skill wise they just played harder. Our offense just was not up to the way we have played in the past. We will get them next match.” Said head coach Ashley Finney. From the service line, the Warhawks did not show the usual strength they have in only combining for 11 aces on the night. Emily Wilson led the way with 4 aces with Weslin Jones adding 3 of her own. Langley Harter continued her dominance at the net with 13 kills on the night. Ella Nolte added 7 put downs of her own. The Lady Warhawks are 5-1 on the season.
