Dogwood Hills Golf Club holds membership event

A social was held Friday evening at Dogwood Hills Golf Club to encourage residents to become members of the facility.

The club, located at 1 Dogwood Lane off Highway 17-A South in Walterboro, is now under the management of Paramount Golf Partners.”We at Paramount are excited to be here,” said management official Ray Carbiras. “Robert and I started here in January.” He was referring to Robert Wilson, another facility manager.

“Our people genuinely care,” said Wilson. He noted that the most important characteristic that Paramount officials look for in their team members is, do they care? He added that, if people genuinely care, then they treat their members and guests in a special manner in every interaction. “If we hire people who do not genuinely care, then we get what has become the norm in the service industry, which is people simply going through the motions.

Carbiras noted that Paramount strives to treat members and guests how they would want to be treated. He added that, in these times, employees in stores or other business facilities can sometimes be seen on cell phones, talking or texting, barely making eye contact. “Paramount Golf is bringing back a firm handshake, looking eye to eye, and engaging our members and guests each and every time we interact.”

Regular members of Dogwood Hills enjoy unlimited rounds of golf, unlimited access to the driving range and practice areas, four complimentary guest passes, reciprocal playing privileges at Paramount-managed facilities.

“All In” membership includes unlimited rounds of golf and cart fees, complimentary walking privilege, 14-day preferred tee time booking, member golf tournaments and social events, short game area privilege, 10 percent off pro shop merchandise, 10 percent off pro shop food and beverage, four complimentary guest passes annually upon renewal, and reciprocal playing privileges at Paramount-managed facilities.
