The Youth Football season began with the All Stars playing host to Ridgeland. Ridgeland has dominated this league for many years, but with the addition of the Colleton County teams, that trend has begun to taper off.

The All Stars had a very impressive first season in the league last year, with all four teams finishing with winning records and the Pee Wee team winning the championship. Remember, the Pee Wee All Stars are unbeaten in this league.

The game began with the Colleton County Dynamite team taking a 22-0 victory over Ridgeland. The Small Frye team was not as fortunate, as they lost to Ridgeland by a score of 16-0. Then came the day’s main event, and the Pee Wee All Stars have been putting their perfect record on the line each week.

Ridgeland came in ready, but the All Stars took the win in the second overtime period by a score of 22-14. In the final game of the day, the Midgets, last year’s runner up in their division, took care of Ridgeland by a score of 28-0.

Everyone within the community is urged to come out and enjoy some great football, so come out to the old Walterboro High football stadium and watch the All Stars.
