Christmas Parade in Cottageville was well attended


Many spectators enjoyed what many have come to call the biggest and best Cottageville Christmas Parade ever held, This year’s parade occurred on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

People attending the parade enjoyed a variety of floats, emergency vehicles, vintage cars, motorcycles, horses and riders, and even a boy riding small pony.

The parade’s Grand Marshal was Patsy Willis; Best Float of the Season was, as follows: 1st place – Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2nd place – Cottageville Veterans, Honorable Mention – Cottageville Elementary Football Team and Cheerleaders,

Most Creative Float: 1st place – Louis Jenkins, 2nd place – Palmetto Pony Club, Honorable Mention – Minnis Honey School,

Best Overall Float: 1st place – Cottageville Express (Debra Muse), 2nd place – N-Style Salon, 3rd place – Baskets & Bows, Honorable Mention – Colleton County Sheriff’s Office.

Best Golf Cart: Blocker & White, Best Dressed Pet :  “Baby’s” (a dog) owner Margaret Steen, Best Vintage Car: 1st place– Tim Letresta, 2nd place– Chris Jones, Honorable Mention – Robert Connelly, Honorable Mention – Mr. & Mrs. Andy Strickland, Best Muscle Car: Heyward Yeomans.
