CCHS kicks off spring practice

The Colleton County High School football team kicked off spring practice on May 14th, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for them. With a huge senior class leaving, about 60 rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors attended. Some players did not participate due to injury, but are expected back very soon. Coach Peeler said, “Spring football was greatly affected by the weather. It was unfavorable that we had to cancel our spring game. I do feel it gave us enough time to evaluate some younger players, and to begin installing some new things offensively, also older ones in new positions. Our strength this year, I believe, will be on the offensive and defensive lines. We have a great mixture of size and strength, as well as youth and experience. I’m excited about the way things are shaping up, and can’t wait to get things rolling in the fall.”

Starting June 11th, Juniors and Seniors will work out Mon-Thurs 9:00-11:00 and Sophomores and Freshmen will lift from 4:00-6:00 until dead week in late July. Official practice will start July 27th.
