Carolina C.A.G.E.R.S gearing up for season

Since 2005, the C.A.G.E.R.S have participated in travel basketball tournaments in Southeastern United States. Teams have been organized by age/grade divisions and led by volunteer coaches in the local community. The C.A.G.E.R.S are members of the Athletic Amateur Union (AAU), United States Basketball Association (USBA), Youth Basketball of America (YBOA), and Basketball of the Carolinas. The C.A.G.E.R.S. have enjoyed much success on the courts.
The 14U Carolina C.A.G.E.R.S basketball team went undefeated, this past weekend, 3 to 0, in the Great Warm-Up Tournament. Quarice Singleton, a seventh grader, was named the tournament MVP for 14U. Carolina C.A.G.E.R.S Director of Operations Jay Davis said, “We have been limited to a few practices to build some chemistry with the kids. This tournament was a pre-season event, that was hosted by Highstar Entertainment and we were invited to attend this showcase. Our kids played hard and came together as a unit. Sean Winfield, Jaquez Stephens and Jaylen Priester were solid defensively. Mykeem Gant, Robert Clark and Quarice Singleton carried the load offensively for our unit.”
They will be preparing for the upcoming Athletic Amateur Union (AAU) season beginning in March.
