2012 Surgical Services Recognition

President award 04 13 1Colleton Medical Center’s Surgical Services Division recently received the 2012 Services Recognition Program, “The President’s Challenge Award.”

The Walterboro hospital is dedicated to fostering a culture that supports safe and effective patient care and the provision of a healthy work environment. It is the expectation of all staff and associates to adhere to processes that support quality patient care and efficient operations.

The purpose of the President’s Challenge, a 2012 recognition program, is to encourage teamwork and efficiency in the Operating Room, and to reward employees for successful fulfillment of the 2012 surgical case volume budget, as long as the hospital has successfully met or surpassed the 75th percentile SCIP Compliance Score. Colleton Medical Center increased surgical case volume by 10% in 2012 and well exceeded the 75th percentile for SCIP compliance.

All Surgical Services Employees received membership in their professional organization for one year or another token as recognition of this success.
