1st annual Clemson Club Golf Tournament

Colleton County Clemson Club held its first annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on Friday, November 22nd at Dogwood Hills Golf Course. They had six teams overall and 24 golfers that participated in the tournament. The tournament helped raise money for Scholarships for Colleton County students that are enrolled in Clemson University.
The first-place team was: Randy White, Roy Bonner, Mike Edwards, and Tom Edens.
The second-place team was: Rob Ferris, Chet Rhyne, Dennis Barry, and Charles Rister.
Mike Edwards and Tom Edens also won closest to the pin and Horace Kinsey won the longest drive.
Many door prizes were given out as was a golf bag donated by Barrel House Grille.
Hole Sponsors were: Mitchell Construction, Bank of the Lowcountry, P. Spencer Witkin, DMD, The Steadman Agency, Howard E. Thomas Oil Company, Dukes BBQ, Chapman Electric, Inc., Bates Insurance Group of the Lowcountry, LLC, Best Plumbing, LLC, Lowcountry Lenders, Duffie Law Firm, Edward Jones Investments-Jim Nolte, Whitewood, and Hamilton’s Fine Furniture sponsored two holes.
Colleton County Clemson Club wanted to give Roy Metzendorf and Matt Avant of Dogwood Hills Golf Course a special thank you for organizing this event. The Clemson Club is looking forward to hosting another tournament in the spring.
